We are excited to announce that our March 2021 online group exhibition, 'A Certain Kind of Blue,' is being curated by photographic artist and Assistant Professor in Photography at the University of Tampa, Jaime Aelavanthara! To enter, all you need to do is read and respond to the following prompt with your analog photography:

Jaime Aelavanthara writes: This call seeks work using the cyanotype process to showcase the diverse range of expressive possibilities within this celebrated historic method. Cyanotype, derived from the Greek word cyan, translates to 'dark-blue impression.' However, contemporary practitioners of cyanotype explore the process far beyond a standard Prussian-blue hue, creating works that push the creative boundaries to enhance the emotional quality of the image. While the cyanotype process is hailed for its simplicity, it is also extraordinarily complex. Whether exploring the process using negatives or working with a cameraless approach, show us your creative vision utilizing the cyanotype process. Cyanotypes may be two-dimensional, three-dimensional, used in combination with other processes, collaged, toned, stitched, assembled, and beyond.

We invite you to submit up to two photographs for this exhibition that capture the concept of this theme. We offer no limits to the photographs submitted, other than the fact that they are created with analog film or process. The best of these images will be showcased in an online show curated by photographic artist and Assistant Professor in Photography at the University of Tampa, Jaime Aelavanthara. This online exhibition will go live on our website on March 15th, 2021. Please follow the directions below to complete your submission. Good luck!
